About Us

Our Vision

Family Friends aims to help all families with young children in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead by preventing emotional and practical difficulties from becoming serious problems.

Background

This local charity was set up in Maidenhead in 1995 to provide support for those families who were falling through the gaps left by what was provided at that time. The service was extended throughout the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) in 1999.

The service provided is unique in the area. We work in partnership with many other services, Health, Safeguarding Specialist Services, Education.

The charity operates as a fully independent organisation. We are partly funded by RBWM and Berkshire Health Authority, who provide 51% of our income. The rest of our revenue needs are provided by other grants and donations and by our own fundraising efforts.
