A Family Support Worker is available to help any family in the Royal Borough, with at least one child under the age of thirteen. Support is available for parents who are having difficulty in managing their children's behaviour, or where there are concerns about a child. If you are not sure if a referral is appropriate or not, phone us! We are always happy to go and talk to a family about the help we could offer.

We do not have a referral form and are happy to accept all referrals by telephone. When a referral is made, we need the following information:

• Name and telephone number of the referrer
• A description of the family's circumstances and help required
• Main carer's name and name of partner (if any)
• Family's address and telephone number
• Names and dates of birth of children
• Assurance that the main carer has been informed about Family Friends
• Details of any possible safety issues

Anyone can make a referral - last year 38% of the families we supported referred themselves. So if you would like to know if we can help you or someone you know, pick up the phone or send us an email.
